The French LNG flex membrane tank system producer GTT (Gaztransport & Technigaz), has announced that it has received an order from the Korean-based shipyard group HD Hyundai Heavy Industries.
The order is for the tank design of 17 new Liquefied Natural Gas Carriers, which is ordered at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries on behalf of a leading LNG player with scheduled deliveries between the first quarter of 2027 and the third quarter of 2029.
GTT informs that it will design the tanks of these 17 vessels with a tank capacity of 174,000 m3 each, whilst the tanks will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system developed by GTT.
