Three shipping professionals have launched a new shipping investment vehicle, Zeaside Capital Partners.
Based in Copenhagen, partners Jan Eghøj, Aaron Sen and Lars Steffensen have launched Zeaside Capital Partners, a new ship investment vehicle focusing on second hand tonnage.
The company invests and arrange co-investments into ships. Its main focus is on second hand commercial vessels in mainstream sectors such as container vessels, tankers, bulk carriers and specialized tonnage.
Jan Eghøj has more than 25 years of experience from the shipping industry including running one of Germany’s largest shipping companies.
In his business portfolio is included Eitzen Gas, A P Møller Mærsk, Maersk Tankers, Nordic Tankers A/S, Crystal Nordic, BKR Tankers KS, BKR Carriers KS, John T. Essberger GmbH & Co KG, E&S Tankers and others.
Aaron Sen spent more than 25 years in the financial industry, predominantly on the asset finance side, before moving over to one of the largest shipowners in the world.
In his business portfolio is included, among other companies, Seaspan Corporation, Albis Shipping & Transport GmbH & Co. KG, Nord/LB, MountStreetGroup.
On the other hand, Lars Steffensen built a career in the sports industry before moving into shipping 12 years ago.
Since then, he has had senior management positions in some of the largest shipbrokers in the world. In his business portfolio is included Albis Shipping & Transport GmbH & Co. KG, Clarksons Platou, Maersk Broker and others.
