Qatari transport and logistics specialist Milaha and global Turkish company Hareket have sealed a strategic alliance deal to provide integrated heavy lift and oversized transportation services.
Qatar Navigation Q.P.S.C. (Milaha), a Qatari public shareholding company, and the Turkish Hareket, a provider of engineered heavy lifting and transportation services, will work together to deliver huge and integrated range of transportation and heavy lifting services in the State of Qatar.
Milaha explained that the strategic alliance with Hareket, which provides engineered heavy lifting and transportation services, will allow the Qatari partner to expand its wide range of logistics solutions in the local markets.
Qatar Navigation has a rich history, starting as a shipping agent, and strategically building a strong regional foothold in transportation and logistics through a growing fleet. The company was established in 1957 with a capital of about QR 1.136 billion.
Additionally, Milaha has owned an integrated “Shipyard & Fabrication” comprising and operating two floating docks, one Shiplift, and several extensive workshops facilities with the ability to carry dry dock and float repair work for vessels up to 230m LOA. The shipyard, established in 1978 and located at Mesaieed Industrial City, offers various and efficient maritime services, repair and refit services to all types of vessels and yachts, not only in Qatar but also to entire GCC states and the international vessels dock at Doha ports.
Its partner Hareket, on the other hand, works in the field of implementing complex projects in Turkey, the Black Sea region, Europe, the Middle East, and the African continent, in addition to its experience in implementing projects related to oil and gas, and other major projects.
