Tutum Shipping is the name of a newly established Danish company based in Svendborg, which is offering specialised management and consultancy services, including full technical management and specialised project consultancy to the shipping industry.
The company commenced their operations on December 8, 2023 and is founded and equally owned by Jan Rindebæk and Lars Pihl Fly, who together comes with a background combining Chief Engineer and Master Marine expertise.
Tutum Shipping have the primary focus and expertise in running chemical and product tankers, but the founders bring in addition to extensive sea-going experience also two decades of technical vessel management across a diverse spectrum of vessels.
Already on the 29th of December 2023 the partners moved quickly in order to be present in the ship management industry, as Tutum successfully took over the full management of their first four vessels.
The name ‘Tutum’ means ‘safe’ in Latin, and the company commits to be prioritizing safety at sea resulting of the commitment and collaboration between a skilled ship crew and a qualified organization ashore, as the company mentions.
