German ship management and shipping companies Harren Group and NSB Group have launched a new manning agent, Albireo, in Manila.
The Manila-based team currently manages around 800 seafarers, who are deployed across approximately 90 vessels worldwide.
The office is led by the general manager and president Capt. Vicente Dayo, together with the operations manager and chairman Capt. Thaddeus Bonghanoy.
In accordance with a release issued by the companies, Albireo oversees the full scope of crewing activities (recruitment, coordination of training, documentation and career planning).
The new manning agent, developed in close collaboration with local partners in Manila, offers crewing services for shipowners of all vessel types.
“Albireo allows us to align our crewing processes with a unified operational standard and strong team spirit,” said Tim Ponath, chief executive officer of NSB Group.
“We see Albireo as a platform for long-term development and collaboration,” added Capt. Vicente Dayo.
