EPS strengthens top team with senior management appointments

Singapore-headquartered Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has announced a series of senior management appointments as the company continues to strengthen its leadership platform following the integration of Cool Company Ltd. (CoolCo) into EPS.

Thomas Preben Hansen will assume the role of S&P director, in addition to his existing responsibilities as commercial director for containers and PCTCs, effective 1 March 2026.

Hansen succeeds Tay Gak Yong, who will be leaving the company at the end of the month after more than 20 years with EPS.

Gak Yong will remain as senior advisor to EPS and other group companies.

EPS has also appointed Wong Liang Pin as chief financial officer (CFO), effective April 2026. Liang Pin will oversee EPS’ global finance, treasury, and capital allocation functions.

Liang Pin succeeds Ken Cambie, who will be stepping down after close to 13 years of service with EPS.

Rajeev Ahuja, currently commercial director, LPG and ammonia, will assume the role of commercial director, tankers and will relocate back to Singapore later this year. In connection with this transition, Rajeev will hand over commercial responsibility for the gas segment to Øystein Kalleklev, who was recently appointed managing director of CoolCo and commercial director of EPS Gas following the completion of the merger.

Cyril Ducau, chief executive officer of EPS, commented, “These leadership changes reflect the next phase of EPS’ evolution. As we continue to ramp up our operations and as our fleet reaches a unique scale in our industry, our organisation must continue to adapt, strengthening segment accountability while maintaining rigorous group-wide discipline.

“I would like to thank Gak Yong and Ken for their exceptional contributions over many years. They have each played an important role in shaping EPS into the company it is today. At the same time, I am confident that Thomas, Liang Pin, Rajeev and Øystein will continue to build on these strong foundations as we enter the next stage of our growth.”

With a history spanning 60 years, EPS oversees a versatile fleet of over 350 vessels and 37 million deadweight-tonnes across core segments of containership, PCTC, dry bulk, gas and tanker vessels.

Following the completion of its merger with CoolCo, EPS has further strengthened its gas shipping platform.
