Excerpts from K Line’s CEO New Year message as all eyes on Trump’s policies

Following a board meeting held on Monday Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (K Line) announced changes in its leadership, including the roles of chairperson of the board, president and CEO of the company and other representatives.

The company said yesterday that it “will transition to a new management structure” to ensure sustainable growth and further enhance corporate value in the future.

Effective 28 March 2025, Yukikazu Myochin, who is currently the representative director, president and CEO of the company, will take over the role of the director and chairperson of the board.

Takenori Igarashi who holds currently the position of the senior managing executive officer will be the director, representative executive officer, president and CEO of the company.

On the other hand, the current managing executive officer Yutaka Akutagawa will take over the role of the senior managing representative executive officer.

These appointments are subject to approval at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be held on March 28, and the subsequent meeting of the board of directors.
