Danish dry cargo operator Union Bulk has appointed Michael Bonderup as the company’s new chief executive officer (CEO). Bonderup will take the helm on November 4 as he ‘brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record in leadership’.
“We are confident that his vision and expertise will drive Union Bulk in the right direction and to new levels,” the company said in a statement.
Jens Boesen will step down from his role as CEO that he has held since the company was founded, to take on the position of chief financial officer (CFO).
Jens will serve as an ambassador for the company, Union Bulk said, continuing to build valuable relationships and represent Union Bulk globally.
Additionally, Troels Hjaltelin will also join the team in Copenhagen as head of business development, chartering in early November.
Union Bulk also reported that Robert Heal, with nearly 20 years experience in the industry from both broking and the principal side, will be the head of the Singapore office from early October.
Furthermore, Anders Hansen will remain as the company’s steadfast head of chartering in Copenhagen and Thomas Nielsen will continue his work as head of operations.
