The two-day maritime conference will take place at Copenhagen’s AC Bella Sky Convention Center on 23-24 February 2027.
World Maritime Forum 2027 will return to Copenhagen for a two-day event at the AC Bella Sky Convention Center. Organised by IGGS Group, the forum will welcome shipowners, ship managers, shipbuilders, ports, authorities, maritime suppliers and service providers.
The event comes as shipping companies face important decisions related to fleet investment, operational resilience, workforce development and the practical adoption of digital technologies.
The forum is expected to attract 800 attendees, 70 speakers and 50 exhibitors, with more than 300 buyers among the participants.
The audience will include professionals responsible for fleet, project, procurement and technical management, together with representatives working in sustainability, crewing, port operations, finance and IT. This combination reflects the increasingly collaborative nature of vessel-related decisions, which now extend across multiple departments, budgets and shore-based functions.
The 2027 programme will welcome new speakers from leading shipping companies, ports and recognised maritime organisations.
Drawing on their direct industry experience, they will offer practical insights into fleet investment, port priorities, cybersecurity, AI implementation, vessel efficiency and changing workforce requirements.
The agenda will include twelve new panel discussions and two on-stage conversations examining the most significant choices facing maritime businesses and the areas likely to attract investment in the coming years.
Discussions will address IMO measures, EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime, alternative fuels and bunkering infrastructure, retrofit performance, transition finance, sanctions and shadow-fleet risks, cyber and GNSS security, crew competencies, artificial intelligence, vessel design, and remote and autonomous operations. The sessions will link regulatory developments and operational challenges with investment choices across fleets, ports, infrastructure, technology and people.
An exhibition area next to the conference will enable delegates to discover suppliers’ products, services, capabilities and developing innovations.
The solutions presented will span propulsion, fleet-performance systems, maintenance, safety, connectivity, cybersecurity, ship repair, vessel design, interior solutions and shipbuilding. Maritime buyers will be able to assess the benefits promoted by suppliers against the integration demands, financial considerations and operational limitations discussed during the conference sessions.
Copenhagen is a natural location for an event representing such a wide range of maritime interests, while the venue brings the conference, exhibition and business meetings together under one roof.
The forum’s value extends beyond its scale by creating a shared space for discussions about policy, vessel operations, capital allocation and supplier performance. These conversations could provide greater clarity on which fleet, technology and organisational solutions are prepared for wider implementation before the end of the decade.
