X-Press Feeders, COSCO SHIPPING Lines seal partnership and leasing deal

Singapore’s X-Press Feeders Group and COSCO SHIPPING Lines have teamed up on feeder services under a partnership agreement.

One of the largest independent common carriers X-Press Feeders Group will explore opportunities to cooperate as a partner with China’s containerline COSCO SHIPPING Lines in feeder services across Asia, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, North Europe and Latin America.

The company X-Press Feeders Group has also agreed, under a leasing agreement, to provide COSCO SHIPPING Lines with the first option to charter newbuild vessels from X-Press Feeders Group, which may be deployed to support joint services where appropriate.

The two companies under the two agreements signed – partnership and leasing – will expand network coverage and strengthen mainline-feeder coordination.

The deals were signed on June 18 by Francis Goh, chief operating officer of X-Press Feeders Group and Irene Cheng Jin, deputy managing Director of COSCO SHIPPING Lines.

“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to building a more connected and sustainable shipping network,” said Francis Goh, chief operating officer of X-Press Feeders Group. “By aligning our capabilities and vision, we aim to deliver more efficient, customer-centric solutions while jointly advancing the transition to low-emission shipping.”
