The Dutch-based gas carrier specialized shipowner Anthony Veder has taken delivery of a 9,000 cbm Ethylene carrier built in 2014. The gas carrier Yas was delivered to Anthony Veder in the port of Yeosu and was renamed Coral Palmata.
With this new purchased Ethylene carrier the petrochemical and LNG carrier fleet of Anthony Veder has reached totally 29 vessels, as the company states.
The vessel Yas previously owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is suitable for the carriage of petrochemical gasses, offering the flexibility to employ Coral Palmata in the Ethylene trade, as well as in products such as Propylene and Liquid Petrochemical Gas (LPG).
Anthony Veder states that the company will be responsible for the technical and commercial ship management of the Coral Palmata.
“Built in 2014, the renamed Coral Palmata is the youngest ethylene carrier worldwide in her segment and will contribute to the rejuvenation of our fleet. Acquiring this Ethylene carrier fits in our strategy to maintain and reinforce our position in shipping petrochemical gasses worldwide,” says Jan Valkier, CEO of Anthony Veder.
