Erasmus Shipinvest Group has unveiled three additions to its fleet as it pushes ahead with plans to strengthen its LPG Gas fleet profile and scale.

The Athens-based company confirmed that three more pressurized LPG Gas Coasters, all second-hand, have successfully joined into its fast-growing fleet under Erasmus Gas Carriers.

The vessels involved are the 2014 Japan-built, 5000 cbm Gas Peace, 2014 Japan-built, 3500 cbm Gas Respect and the 2008 Japan-built, 5000 cbm Gas Star.

No financial details have been disclosed.

These three ships have been taken over smoothly, Erasmus Shipinvest Group said, and will shortly commence their time charter employments to three different gas-major trading customers of Erasmus group, for Intra-Europe, Caribbean Sea and Intra-Asia regions.

The company unveils that until now it has put all of its efforts to expand, among other segments, on feeder containerships and MPP’s. However, in November it added three LPG Gas Coasters that are believed to strengthen its LPG Gas fleet profile and scale, with wider geographic covers.

“We believe that these modern Japanese built high-quality gas ships would certainly strengthen our LPG Gas fleet profile and scale, with wider geographic covers, so as to serve our charterers customers’ local gas transportation needs in many better ways,” reads the company’s statement.
