Jinhui Shipping and Transportation Limited through its subsidiary Jingang Marine Inc. entered into a memorandum of agreement on July 4 for the disposal of a supramax at a consideration of US$10.8m.
The bulk carrier Jin Gang is a supramax of deadweight 56,927 metric tonnes, built in 2009, and registered in Hong Kong.
The purchaser of the vessel Huwell Shipping Pte. Ltd is a company incorporated in Singapore and its principal activities are vessel owning and chartering.
The vessel which has been owned by the Group since 2009 will be handed over to its new owner by the ship owning company Jingang Marine Inc. between 7 July 2025 and 15 August 2025.
The company said that the consideration of the vessel will be payable by the purchaser by cash in US dollars.
As the vessel is currently engaged under a time charter until September 2025, the parties (owner and buyer) entered into a bareboat charter deal simultaneously on July 4.
The purchaser agreed to lease the vessel to Jingang Marine Inc. for a period of four to six months, commencing upon the completion of the vessel’s delivery under the disposal until the vessel is redelivered under free charter to the purchaser.
The group currently operates a fleet of thirty-one vessels, of which twenty four are owned vessels (including the Jin Gang) and seven are chartered-in vessels, with total deadweight carrying capacity of approximately 2.3 million metric tonnes.
Jinhui operates a diversified fleet of dry bulk vessels, comprising capesize, panamax, ultramax, and supramax bulk carriers.
