Lomar Shipping, a subsidiary of Libra Group, confirms having purchased for approximately $50 million three Kamsarmax bulk carriers from Chinese shipping company Shagang Steel.
The vessels purchased are the Sweet Melissa and Sweet Irina (built in 2011) and the Sweet Venus (built in 2012).
These Kamsarmax purchases comes in the same week as Lomar Shipping has sold five containerships to MPC Container Ships ASA (MPCC) for approximately $137 million for delivery within the next two months.
So approximately $187 million ship sale & purchase deals in one week.
