The Greek shipowner M/Maritime has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Japanese sellers, for the purchase of an ultramax bulk carrier.
The so far un-named vessel is a 63,405 dwt ultramax bulker built in 2017 by the Japanese based Imabari Shipbuilding at the Tadotsu Shipyard.
M/Maritime states that the vessel is expected to be delivered by the end of March 2024 and no economical details was mentioned by the company.
The M/Maritime’s management fleet will after this purchase rise to a total number of 18 dry-bulk Japanese vessels with an average age of 6.4 years, including one Japanese handysize vessel under the company’s commercial management, as the company informs.
