The tanker shipping company Stena Bulk has found a buyer for its oil tanker, which caught fire due to an allision with a container ship on March 10.

Stena Bulk has announced that the ship Stena Immaculate has now been sold to a buyer who will undertake repairs at Desan Shipyard.

Prior to the transfer, the vessel was reflagged from the United States to the Maltese flag.

“We extend our appreciation to all parties involved in the salvage and cargo transfer operations, for their continued professionalism and support throughout the process,” Stena Bulk stated.

The oil/product tanker Stena Immaculate was involved in an allision with a container ship on March 10 while anchored off Hull in the North Sea.

The company said in its statement on Oct. 24 that authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident, and any related inquiries should be directed to them.

The company controls a combined fleet of around 60 vessels and is part of the Stena Sphere, which has more than 19,000 employees.
