Copenhagen-based shipowner and operator of product tankers Torm is continuing its remarkable buying spree by snapping up more MR vessels.
Listed on Nasdaq in Copenhagen and on Nasdaq in New York, Torm has revealed a huge boost to its owned fleet with a fresh secondhand deal for four 2014-built MR vessels.
The shipowner said the latest deal brings its 2025 vessel transactions to the acquisition of one LR2 and four MR vessels. Specifically, Torm has agreed to acquire four 2014-built MR vessels, and divest one LR2 and six MR vessels, as part of its ongoing fleet renewal program.
The recent sale and purchase activity follows several changes in its fleet portfolio during the year. In the third quarter of 2025, Torm completed the sale and delivery of the two 2008-built MR vessels Torm Discoverer and Torm Voyager.
Torm further sold the 2007-built MR vessel Torm Adventurer and acquired the 2010-built LR2 vessel SKS Driva (now named Torm Gauri), with both transactions scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2025.
After completion of these transactions, Torm’s fleet size will be 92 vessels.
The company also converted a total of 13 leaseback vessels to full ownership – four LR2s and nine MRs – under its ongoing refinancing strategy by the end of the third quarter of 2025.
