The Zhongyi (John) Su-led Erasmus Shipinvest Group has announced the delivery of the first vessel – in a series of 7500 cbm – newbuilding LPG gas ship Gas Hope from the Japanese shipbuilder Kyokuyo Shipyard Corporation.

The Gas Hope is registered under the Panama Ship Registry, classed by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), and it is fixed by Erasmus to one of the world’s largest oil/gas major companies for multiple years TC period.

After the delivery of Gas Hope, the Erasmus Gas Carriers controlled-fleet officially reached 20 fully-pressurized LPG gas vessels, and reached the initial target as their top management team set back to four years ago when it determined to enter the domain of gas/energy transportation.

According to the company’s statement, the Erasmus group has become one of the world’s largest shipowners/operators for the small coaster sized LPG gas ship segment (under 7500 cbm), and all its controlled gas ships so far are 100% built by renowned Japanese yards only.
