Tallinn-based ship management company Amisco is expanding its fleet with an order for two 5,900-dwt multipurpose dry cargo vessels.

Estonia’s Amisco placed an order at Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry in China, with deliveries scheduled for the first and second quarters of 2027.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by the company.

Steel cutting for the first vessel took place in February, marking the official start of the project.

In a short social media post, the company said the vessels are designed to support a wide range of cargoes and that the investment reflects the company’s continued commitment to fleet renewal and long-term growth.

Founded in 1994, Amisco is a privately owned company where owners are part of working staff. Several employees are already second generation in the company.

In accordance with the latest data from the company’s website, the fleet portfolio of Amisco currently consists of eight vessels.
