Antwerp-based Euronav tanker company has announced the naming ceremony for the inauguration of the vessels Cassius and Camus on 10th of January, two eco-VLCC’s, constructed by the Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries yard.
As Euronav says, both vessels are built to be LNG-ready, with the ability to cut CO2 emissions compared to current market standards and are fitted with Exhaust Gas Scrubber technology and Ballast Water Treatment Systems.
The Cassius joined Euronav´s fleet on January 11th, while the Camus is still under construction. Godmother of the Casius is Mrs. YiYi Shi, and Mrs. Domna Goulidou received the honour to be the godmother of the Camus.
