Interasia has announced the successful naming ceremonies of its first newbuild vessels, Interasia Transform and Interasia Transcend, held at Japan Marine United Corporation’s (JMU) Ariake Shipyard.
In a significant moment for the company, Interasia also accepted delivery of Interasia Transform, the first in a series of six 3,055 teu vessels.
Following the ceremony, Interasia Transform departed the shipyard and will soon be integrated into the company’s NS3 service to meet the growing demand across Asia.
The naming ceremony sponsors were Miho Nabeyama, sponsor of Interasia Transform, and Espy Chan, sponsor of Interasia Transcend.

“This marks a historic achievement for Interasia, as it is our first newbuild vessel delivery in the company’s long history,” reads the company’s statement.
Interasia is scheduled to take delivery of a total of six JMU-built 3,055 teu vessels by mid-2025, which will bring its owned fleet to 21 ships.
