Denmark´s Navi Merchants A/S, a fully owned subsidiary of the Copenhagen Merchants Group, has signed on December 14 a newbuilding contract to construct three 7500 mt dwt short-sea coasters.
The three ordered vessels will be built by the Indian-based Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited in Mumbai, with the first delivery set to be in April 2026, with subsequent deliveries then every two months.
The company also informs that the three new vessels will be Danish-flagged and they will integrate battery hybrid propulsion with an optional feature for utilizing wing sails too.
