Buxtehude-based ship management company NSB Niederelbe Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (NSB Group) has on November 28 successfully lunched the hull number HP2021-8 of the first vessel of the 1,220 teu series which is under construction at the Huipu Shipyard in China.
The 16,800 dwt container vessel “MTT Labuan” is managed by NSB Group which acts on behalf of the owners MTT Shipping Sdn. Bhd.
In Malaysia have provided the site supervision of the newbuilding which in the coming weeks will finish the commissioning and testing during the sea trial.
The launching was accompanied with dancing dragons, fireworks and drumming when the vessel touched the first time the element which it is made for.
In the coming weeks the commissioning will be finished and tested during the sea trial.
