Singapore-based product tanker owner First Ship Lease Trust has reported the sale of one product tanker.
The wholly-owned subsidiary of the Trust, FSL-2, Inc., has entered into a memorandum of agreement to sell the vessel Clyde Fisher to an unaffiliated third party who lodged a 10% deposit in escrow.
The Clyde Fisher is a 12,984-dwt product tanker, 2005-built at Samho in South Korea and has been employed under bareboat charter.
The company didn’t disclose the counterparty’s identity, or the exact amount it stands to earn from the sale of the ship.
However, it said that more details will be disclosed upon completion of the disposal.
In December, First Ship Lease Trust agreed to sell one of its product tankers to an undisclosed buyer. The vessel Cumbrian Fisher is a 12,921-dwt product tanker built at Samho in South Korea in 2004 and has been employed under bareboat charter.
The current vessel portfolio of First Ship Lease Trust comprises of seven product tankers which are chartered to an international shipping company on fixed-rate period bareboat charters.
