Singapore-headquartered GSB Tankers and Asahi Tanker have joined forces to launch the Asia Chemical Tanker Alliance (ACTA), a new joint venture managing the operation and commercial management of chemical tankers ranging from 10,000-15,000 dwt.
ACTA officially launched operations on January 1, 2025, with its headquarters in Singapore, and an additional office in Tokyo, Japan.
Initially, the joint venture will manage four chemical tankers with the aim of expanding to 10 chemical tankers within the next two years.
Golden Stena Baycrest Tankers (GSB Tankers) is a joint venture between Golden Agri-Resources, Stena Bulk and Bay Crest Management, with a focus on commercial management of chemical tankers.
Philip Eriksson, managing director of GSB Tankers, said: “This collaboration not only strengthens our position within the industry but also allows us to deepen our involvement in a market we believe holds significant potential for the future.
“I am confident this partnership will generate synergies for all parties, unlocking new business opportunities and enhancing our exposure and presence across various sectors.”
