India’s Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has offloaded its 2004-built medium range product tanker “Jag Pahel” of about 46,319 dwt to an unnamed third party.
The country’s largest shipowner didn’t disclose the value of the deal but said that the vessel has gone for delivery to the buyers.
To remind the vessel was contracted for sale in April 2024 to an unaffiliated third party for an undisclosed price.
Shipping Telegraph reported the sale of the vessel on April 3 this year, mentioning that the owner contracted to sell its MR tanker, “Jag Pahel” on April 01, 2024 to an unaffiliated third party.
Excluding Jag Pahel, company’s current fleet stands at 43 vessels, comprising 29 tankers (6 crude carriers, 19 product carriers, 4 LPG carriers) and 14 dry bulk carriers (2 capesize, 8 kamsarmax, 4 supramax) aggregating 3.41 Mn dwt.
Additionally, the owner had contracted to sell one MR product tanker in May 2024, which is due for delivery in the first half of financial year 2025 (H1FY25).
