Naples-based Marnavi S.p.A. orders chemical tanker pair in Chinese Zhuosan shipyard. The Marnavi Group has inked a deal with the shipyard for the construction of two stainless steel duplex chemical tankers.
The owner has sealed the deal for the two chemical tankers worth around $60m in total. Each ship will have a capacity of 13,000 deadweight tons.
The first vessel is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026, followed by the second in early 2027.
“With an investment of approximately $30 million for each ship, these new builds represent a significant step forward in our commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability,” reads the company’s release.
The company said that its fleet, which currently consists of 37 vessels, will expand to “meet the challenges of the global maritime industry.”
Marnavi is managed by its president and chief shareholder Domenico Ievoli in close cooperation with his two sons and vice presidents Attilio and Gennaro.
Marnavi Spa (Plc) is a shipping company operating on the world chemical-product and foodstuff transportation market, and was founded in 1910 by Dominico Ievoli, the grandfather of the current president.
