Suezmax tanker specialist Nordic American Tankers revealed a series of contracts that have been concluded recently and highlighted solid market conditions.
Against a background of Middle East disruption, New York-listed NAT announced on May 15 to its shareholders and investors details about recently concluded contracts with large corporate customers leasing their ships.
The company reported that its vessels operate at costs below $10,000 per day, and the current market conditions have strengthened its cash position, impacting positively the ability to pay dividend.
The press release listed various contracts from March to May 2026, ranging from $75,000 to $198,000 for different durations.
Specifically, contract examples include $150,000 over 60 days in March, $75,000/day over 65 days in March, $198,000 over 68 days in April, $75,000 over 300 days in May and $95,000 over 70 days in May.
The company added that the $ numbers and periods are approximations.
