AS Tallinna Sadam’s subsidiary, OÜ TS Shipping, has entered into an agreement with OSC Marine Group for the charter of the multipurpose icebreaker Botnica for offshore operations in the waters of the Republic of South Africa.
Botnica will under the agreement be employed in an offshore Single Buoy Mooring (SBM) change-out project. As part of the project, the vessel will provide support services for subsea operations, including pipeline handling, subsea lifting operations, Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) operations and diving operations.
The agreement secures an additional employment period for Botnica during the 2027 summer season and supports TS Shipping’s activities in the international offshore market. The charter period is 45 calendar days, with operations scheduled to commence in May 2027, and the charterer has the option to extend the charter period by up to a total of nine days.
According to agreement with the Estonian Transport Administration, Botnica provides icebreaking services in Estonian coastal waters from December 20 to April 20.

In addition to passenger and freight services, Tallinna Sadam group also operates in shipping business via its subsidiaries – OÜ TS Laevad provides ferry services between the Estonian mainland and the largest islands, and OÜ TS Shipping charters its multifunctional vessel Botnica for icebreaking and offshore services in Estonia and projects abroad. Tallinna Sadam group is also a shareholder of an associate AS Green Marine, which provides waste management services.
