The Dutch heavy-lift specialist BigLift Shipping B.V., part of the Spliethoff Group, has announced in the social media, that after 40 years the MV “Happy Buccaneer” has reached the end of her service.
Built back in 1984 the MV “Happy Buccaneer” was a pioneer from the start.
With her large, spacious deck of 110.50m length and 20.6m width, and heavy lift cranes of 2 x 700 mt lifting capacity (totally 1400 mt in combination), has “revolutionised the heavy lift industry” as her owner said characteristically.
BigLift Shipping mentions that the MV “Happy Buccaneer” of 13,740 mt deadweight has established herself as one of the most versatile vessels in the heavy lift world.
“The company will remember her fondly,” it said on Tuesday.
