Italy’s Fratelli Cosulich Group has sold the first of its four new-generation IMO type II bunker tankers developed under its newbuilding programme to SPC Shipping.
The group completed the sale of Anna Cosulich to SPC Shipping, a wholly owned subsidiary of PetroChina International (Singapore).
Fratelli Cosulich, a diversified multinational Group, fully owned by the Cosulich family, now at its 6th generation, said the deal was signed in Singapore on October 14 by managing director of Fratelli Cosulich Bunkers (S) Pte Ltd, Diana Mok, and managing director of PetroChina International, Sun Jinhua, in the presence of chief executive officer of Cosulich Group, Timothy Cosulich, and executive director of PetroChina International, Wu Junli.
The vessel was officially renamed Vanda Pioneer on October 16 at a ceremony held at Jurong Port Universal Terminal, joining PetroChina’s Singapore bunkering fleet.
Delivered to Fratelli Cosulich in May 2026, the methanol-ready tanker has a deadweight capacity of 8,633 tonnes and designed to transport and supply conventional marine fuels, biofuels and methanol.
Fratelli Cosulich said the transaction represents an important milestone for the group’s marine energy business, with one of its latest-generation vessels joining the fleet of another major operator in Singapore’s bunkering market.
