The container liner company Ocean Network Express (ONE) is claiming a record-laden load of 22,000 twenty-foot equivalent (TEUs) containers on board a single ship.
The company said this “is a second consecutive world-laden load- this time on the ONE Innovation.”
The containership ONE Innovation is reported to have broken the record with a laden load of 22,000 TEUs on her most recent port call in Singapore on December 14.
The ONE Innovation, which started her maiden voyage in June this year, is one of the newest additions to ONE´s fleet of 24K vessels.
The record surpasses the previous record at the Port of Singapore in November with the loading of 21,954 twenty-foot equivalent (TEUs) containers on board a single ship.
In that instance, a total of 21,954 laden TEUS were loaded onto the Liberian-flagged ONE Integrity (235,311 gt), as reported by ONE.
The ONE Integrity is a 24,000 teu vessel that is deployed on ONE´s Far East Loop 3 (FE3) Service.
Ocean Network Express (ONE), was formed in 2017, through the integration of the liner businesses Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line), Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK).
The company currently ranks as the world’s sixth largest container carrier with a fleet size of about 1.69 million teu, operating more than 220 vessels.
