Israeli container liner ZIM Integrated Shipping Services announced the successful naming ceremonies of two new vessels that have joined its fleet.
These ceremonies signify a significant milestone in ZIM’s commitment to sustainability and mark a significant phase in its fleet modernization efforts.
ZIM shared a photo in the social media of the naming ceremony of its two newbuild vessels, ZIM Aquamarine and ZIM Alexandrite, which were named by their respective godmothers, Ms. Tracy Hui and Ms. Dimpple Rana.

According to the container liner, these ships are the final in its ‘gems series’ and mark the successful completion of its partnership with Seaspan Corporation and the conclusion of 15 eco-friendly ships.
ZIM Aquamarine, symbolizing clarity and calm, reflects the company’s steady vision, while ZIM Alexandrite, known for its adaptability, embodies the agility and resilience needed in global trade.
“These LNG-powered vessels reinforce our commitment to sustainability, responsible leadership, and global connectivity,” the shipowner said in a social media post.

Earlier this year the shipowner celebrated the naming ceremony of ZIM Jasper and ZIM Moonstone at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
These vessels, which were named by their respective godmothers, Pecky Hui and Jang Hye Ryen, join ZIM’s 8,000 TEU LNG fleet.
