In accordance with the assessment of Drewry Supply Chain Advisors, the container rates were this week for the second week in a row with unchanged tendency. As it is mentioned, their composite World Container Index remains unchanged at $4,476 per 40-foot container.
Freight rates from Shanghai to Rotterdam decreased by 2% or $95 to $3,997, and Rotterdam to Shanghai remained unchanged at $596 per 40-foot container.
The rates from Shanghai to Genoa decreased by 3% or $152 to $4,216, while Shanghai to Los Angeles increased by 2% or $167 to $7,352. As it is also reported, those on Shanghai to New York increased by 1% or $139 to $9,726 per 40-foot container.
Meanwhile, the rates from Los Angeles to Shanghai increased 1% or $6 to $805, and Rotterdam to New York increased by 2% or $74 to $3,126 per FEU. Furthermore, the freight from New York to Rotterdam this week increased by 2% or $12 to $1,136 per 40-foot container.
