Thailand’s Precious Shipping Public Company Limited (PSL) reported the disposal of the supramax bulk carrier Kanchana Naree by Precious Metals Limited, a wholly owned Thai subsidiary of the company. The sale price of the vessel is US$ 14,590,000 which is market price, PSL said.
On August 28, the company completed the signing of the memorandum of agreement for selling the vessel with the buyer.
The company didn’t disclose details about the counterparty. It said that the buyer is an overseas company that does not have any relationship with the company.
The Thai-flagged bulk carrier Kanchana Naree, about 56,920 dwt, Chinese built in 2011, is scheduled for delivery between September 11 and October 15, 2026.
The company is continuing its strategy to rejuvenate its fleet by selling its older vessels and acquiring younger and bigger vessels.
After the disposal of this vessel, the inclusion of two vessels ordered for construction but not yet delivered, PSL’s fleet will consist of 43 vessels with an aggregate capacity of about 2,077,855 dwt.
