Finland-based Ro/Ro specialist Godby Shipping has announced the extension of the charter contract for the vessel “Mimer” to CMA CGM until December 2024.
Godby Shipping states that the ship “Mimer” has been running in the Leeward Island traffic for CMA CGM continuously since April 2012.
The line is an inter-Caribbean feeder service connecting CMA CGM ocean services with a number of smaller Caribbean destinations.
The main ports in the traffic are Point a Pitre, Philipsburg, San Juan, Charlotte Amalie, Christiansted, Road Town, Gustavia and Basseterre. The cargo carried by “Mimer” is mainly containers, trailers and other roro units loaded with consumer goods and industrial products.
Godby Shipping says that “We see this as positive news securing the employment of the vessel Mimer and its crew for another year.”
