In a landmark achievement for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector, Greece’s Latsco LNG Marine Management celebrated the delivery of the 1000th LNG cargo to the Sagunto LNG Terminal in Spain.

The Sagunto LNG terminal, operated by Saggas and strategically located at Spain’s east coast, has welcomed its 1000th LNG cargo, which was delivered by the company’s LNG carrier Hellas Athina.

The 1000th cargo delivered by the LNG carrier Hellas Athina, is considered a key milestone for both the terminal and the company.

The arrival of the LNG carrier at the Sagunto LNG terminal was marked by a small but meaningful ceremony on the terminal’s dock, reflecting the collaboration and commitment of all parties involved in the transportation of LNG.

The Saggas (Planta de Regasificación de Sagunto, S.A.) terminal chief officer manager, together with the president of the Port Authority of Valencia, and the vessel’s master exchanged gifts, symbolizing a harmonious relationship built on mutual respect and professional cooperation.

The vessel’s master expressed pride in being part of such an event, highlighting the teamwork and dedication required to complete such operation safely and efficiently.

Latsco LNG Marine Management, an LNG shipping company, is part of Latsco Shipping Limited originally established in the 1940s when the company’s founder, captain John S. Latsis, first ventured into passenger and commercial deep-sea shipping.
