The family owned and Dutch-based Glomar Offshore B.V. (Glomar) has been awarded a multi-year framework contract by TenneT for the supply of Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels (ERRVs) and Safety Standby Vessels (SSVs) in the German sector of the North Sea.

German-based TenneT Offshore GmbH is a transmission system operator, who is managing the operations of the German extra high voltage grid system and ensuring the seamless integration of renewable energy sources into the grid.

Glomar Offshore reports that it will provide fully equipped Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels to ensure the safety for personnel working in offshore environments.

“This collaboration marks a pivotal step in enhancing safety and operational efficiency in maritime operations, particularly in relation to the connection of offshore wind farms to the onshore power grid,” reads the statement of Glomar Offshore.

Glomar is based in Den Helder, The Netherlands, and operates a diverse fleet of purpose built offshore support vessels.

Glomar noted that the collaboration already started on October 1st, with the vessels being operational in alignment with the TenneT’s project timelines.
