Finland’s shipping firm Godby Shipping Ab (Godby), based in Mariehamn – Åland Islands, fixed its ro/ro vessel Mimer on time charter to Faroe Island-based Smyril Line.
The fixed charter will commence on August 20, 2026 and continue until early October 2026, with the vessel trading between Rotterdam, Hirtshals and the Faroe Islands.
Godby mentioned that after completing a short-time charter with LD Seaplane (LDS) and undergoing planned maintenance in Montril, France the Mimer will soon head north to begin her next charter with Smyril.
This is not the first co-operation Godby had with Smyril Line. The Mistral was on time charter to them between 2020-2023, the shipowner said in its announcement.
