John Fredriksen and Marc Saverys will be joining Euronav´s new supervisory board of directors, while the shareholders approved a resolution proposed by CMB to terminate the mandates of two independent board members, at a special meeting of Belgium-based Euronav´s shareholders. The special meeting of shareholders held yesterday in Antwerp in order to vote on resolutions submitted by Famatown Finance Ltd and CMB NV.
Euronav´s shareholders in the special meeting voted the independent directors Grace Reksten Skaugen, Anita Odedra, and Carl Trowell to remain on the board. They also approved a resolution proposed by CMB to terminate the mandates of the other independent board members Anne-Hélène Monsellato and Steven Smith.
The Shareholders in the general meeting gave their vote of confidence, whilst took the decision to proceed in the dismissal of some members of the supervisory board.
In the meeting it was also approved the proposal to appoint Mr. Marc Saverys and Mr. John Fredriksen as non-independent members of the supervisory board, until and including the ordinary general meeting to be held in 2026. The shareholders have also decided the appointment of two more members on the supervisory board of directors. A vote of confidence was given to Mr. Patrick De Brabandere as a non-independent member of the supervisory board, and to Mr. Cato H. Stonex as a non-independent member. Mr. John Fredriksen and Cato H. Stonex are representing Famatown, and Marc Saverys and Patrick De Brabandere are representing CMB.
