Global logistics company Blue Water is establishing presence in South Korea by acquiring the operations of South Korean logistics company Zodiac Solutions. The agreement marks the formal establishment of Blue Water South Korea.
The contract signing took place at the Korea – Denmark Offshore Wind Business Conference, in the presence of Lars Aagaard, Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities, and Jason Goh, Regional Director Asia at Blue Water.
The Managing Director of Zodiac Solutions Raphael Park will take on the role of General Manager of Blue Water South Korea.
The agreement marks the formal establishment of Blue Water South Korea, with the completion of the acquisition of Zodiac Logistics set to be finalised on 1 May.
Thomas Bek, Blue Water’s COO for energy, ports & projects, said: “The acquisition of Zodiac Solutions brings expertise and a valuable network, particularly in the logistics of diverse industries such as renewables, mining, oil, gas & industrial projects, general cargo Sea & air, marine logistics and defense logistics. We have had the pleasure of working with Zodiac Solutions as a local partner for many years.”
Meanwhile, Blue Water is set to further expand its presence in Asia with the opening of an office in Japan later this year.
As the company claims, this expansion aims to strengthen Blue Water’s foothold in Asia and contribute to its global presence.
