SSY continues ship finance expansion with new hire in China

SSY shipbroker has unveiled the appointment of Terry Chen to the newly created role of head of ship finance (China). The appointment is effective immediately.

As it is reported by SSY, “an industry veteran with over two decades of experience in the shipping, finance and investment sectors, Chen is widely recognised as a leading player within the ship leasing community in China and is well known for his extensive experience in concluding intricate and detailed lease transactions.”

Originally graduating from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Chen went on to hold a series of senior positions at CSIC Leasing, Taiping & Sinopec Financial Leasing and Minsheng Financial Leasing before becoming Partner at Hongdao Capital.

In addition to SSY’s dedicated finance desks in London, Oslo and Singapore and as a result of Chen’s appointment, the ship finance division has expanded its global footprint with a new dedicated desk in Shanghai.
