Norwegian shipowner and ship manager Atlantica Shipping announced that the last of its five MR tankers, the 50.000 dwt Atlantica Brave, built in 2008, was delivered to her new owners on Friday.

Atlantica Shipping’s first MR-tanker was bought in the fourth quarter of 2018, then other two were bought in 2019 and further two in 2021.

Fearnleys were Atlantica’s partners on four of the vessels, from raising of equity to corporate management. In the first three vessels, Atlantica was also a partner with MPC Capital and co. investors.

The Oslo-based company traded all vessels in the Norient Product Pool. The shipowner claims that their high performance and professionality has been highly appreciated, both in difficult markets and during the extraordinary markets of 2022 and 2023.

Atlantica’s technical managers were Interorient (for the Atlantica Bell ship), Wilhlemsen Ahrenkiel (for Atlantica Bay, Atlantica Breeze and Atlantica Bridge) and Bernhard Schulte in Greece (for Atlantica Brave).

Atlantica Shipping currently has a fleet of 10 vessels in various segments. The company´s fleet portfolio consists of one container vessel, one tanker, three supramax dry bulk vessels and five PSV.

Since its establishment in 1997, the company has been involved in owning and managing 70 – 80 vessels.

Atlantica is a partnership between management, Oldendorff Carriers, A.M Nomikos and local investors.
