The Cyprus-based Toro Corp. has completed the sale of its Aframax/LR2 tanker, at a price of $30.1 million.
The Nasdaq-listed energy transportation services company has delivered the 2004-built ship Wonder Avior to its new owner.
The company expects to record during the third quarter of 2023 a net gain of $18.6 million, excluding any transaction-related costs.
Toro Corp. has also took delivery on July 18 of the 2015-built eco design Japanese 5,000 cbm LPG carrier Dream Syrax, which it had agreed to acquire.
The acquisition price of $16.95 million was financed in its entirety with cash on hand, as the shipowner reveals.
The fleet portfolio of Toro currently consists of one aframax, one aframax/LR2, two handysize tankers and three 5,000 cbm LPG carriers, with an aggregate capacity of 0.3 million dwt.
Furthermore the company has agreed to acquire one additional LPG carrier.
