Dutch based shipowner Wagenborg announced that they have purchased an ASD 3280 tug, which is expected to arrive in the port of Eemshaven shortly.
The company informs that the tugboat will be renamed ‘Waterland’ and was built in 2020 by the Uzmar Shipyard in Turkey. The ASD 3280 Tug, being an Robert Allen design, is very manoeuvrable and has a high performance with a modern design, as it was mentioned.
It is furthermore noted that with her sister ship ‘Waterlines’, the ‘Waterland’ with her 80-ton bollard pull is the largest tugboat in the fleet of Wagenborg Towage, which now consists of ten tugs.
Due to its operational flexibility, the tugboat can be used for port and terminal towage operations, escort operations, firefighting operations, coastal and offshore towage operations.
