Antwerp-based gas shipowner has agreed to sell five vessels, a transaction expected to yield a profit of $35m, according to a company announcement.
The deal includes three midsize gas carriers – the 2016-built Kortrijk, 2028-built Wepion, and 2017-built Kruibeke – as well as two fully pressurized vessels, the Joan and Elisabeth.
The identities of the buyers and the specific transaction prices have not been disclosed. Deliveries to the new owners are scheduled to take place across the second half of 2026 and the first half of 2027.
The combined transactions are expected to generate a profit of $35m, compared to the vessels’ book value and relative to Exmar’s ownership interest.
Exmar Group operates a fleet ranging from VLGCs to pressurized vessels and owns and operates advanced floating LNG production, storage, and regasification units.
In June, Exmar took delivery of the midsize gas carrier Antwerpen capable of carrying up to 46,000 m³ of ammonia or LPG. The vessel is the first in a series of four ammonia dual-fuel midsize gas carriers. After Antwerpen, the second ship was named Arlon. All vessels will be owned by Exmar LPG France.
