Indonesia based and Singapore listed Samudera Shipping Line LTD has announced that they have acquired two new container vessels from unrelated third parties, with the acquisition price stated to be approximately US$59.9 million in total.
The company announced that the two container ships, each with a capacity of 1,500 TEUs, are expected to be delivered in the second half of this year.
The company’s Board of Directors said that the acquisition of the new vessels is not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the Samudera Group for the financial year ended 31 December 2023.
