Norway-based Solstad Rederi AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solstad Maritime Holding AS, has sold the 2007-built AHTS “Far Sound” and the 2008-built AHTS “Far Scimitar”.
The sale will result in a total gain on sale of assets of approximately NOK 75m (around $7.08m) to be reflected in first quarter of 2024, as the company states.
The vessels have been in layup in Asia since 2016 and 2018 respectively, and the delivery of the vessels to the new owner took place last Friday, the 23rd of February 2024.
The shipowner and offshore tonnage provider Solstad Offshore ASA owns ~27% of Solstad Maritime Holding AS.
