ONEX Group and ONEX Neorion Shipyards strengthen the health services of Syros Island in southern Greece by ensuring the ability to pay accommodation for doctors moving to this island during the summer season.
The announcement of the sponsorship was made by the President and CEO of ONEX Group, Panos Xenokostas, and the Director of the General Hospital of Syros “Vardakeio and Proio”, Nikolaos Rousas, at the premises of the Aegean Neorion Innovation Center (ANIC).
ONEX said in its announcement that “through our sponsorship, we ensure that the General Hospital of Syros “Vardakeio and Proio” will be able to offer high health services to residents and visitors during the summer season. Economic activity and tourism will not be affected by the lack of basic services, such as medical care”.
During the presentation of the sponsorship for the General Hospital of Syros, Panos Xenokostas stated that: “We ensure high quality health services for people of Syros and visitors to the island. In this way, we maintain a high quality of life for the residents, ensure the positive course of the local economy and tourism, and build even more the relationship of trust with Syros and its residents”.
