Singapore-headquartered diversified multinational enterprise Winning International Group and Beihai Shipbuilding have signed a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding in Qingdao.
On August 27, Winning International Group and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on shipbuilding and ship repair cooperation in Qingdao, China.
The memorandum covers new vessel construction, fleet maintenance, technical upgrades and lifecycle support.
The agreement builds on the early delivery of Winning Ambition and Winning Brave, the first two 325,000-dwt WinningMax ore carriers.
Six sister vessels are currently under construction.
On August 12, Winning International Group held the naming and delivery ceremony for Winning Brave, its second 325,000-dwt WinningMax very large ore carrier (VLOC), at the no. 2 pier of CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding.
The vessel came less than two months after the delivery of the vessel Winning Ambition on June 16.
In accordance with data stated in the company’s website, Winning controls and operates over 150 vessels, with its self-owned fleet consisting of 60 capesize bulk carriers.
